I just came home from ridding the bus to a store and back. When we moved in to this so called apt complex I happened to be in the hospital. But I agreed with moving here before I got sick. So some of this should not be a surprise. About a block away from where my family is at this time a policeman was killed 4 years ago. There is a nice memorial for him. He was young when killed. Today walking back to the apt from the bus there were a father and son working around it. I stopped and asked a family member. No a fellow officer. Someone in this area has tried to burn the memorial. The man repairing it was maybe in his 30s his son not a teenager. I almost started to cry right there. Someone gave his life to save another human. And this was done. I cant believe some of the things we do to places of honor. I had seen a tv man from channel 10, here in Phoenix, Az. taking a picture of it afew days ago. Never in my dreams did it dawn on me why. I thank all of the officers that keep our city streets safe as they are. I am ashamed of what has been done. Thanks for letting me speak here.
