I just copy and pasted this from Jeffs site. Enjoy! The Poets Prayer. By Jeff Seamons (My Son) There are times, it seems That even my dreams Are filled with magnificent rhymes. I dream of queens and kings, And other such things From distant and peculiar times. Most of the time I feel Like its all too real To just be random contemplations, So I transport them from my mind To the first piece of paper I find And add them to my latest compilation. I write of things that make you sad, Make you happy or stark raving mad. I write about life as I know it. Lord, Im nobody special down here, But I want to make it clear, That Im so grateful you made me a poet. People come and people go, As time and tears may show. But I know one thing always stands true. Whenever my loved ones arent around Or Im just feeling down, I can write me a poem or two. It always makes me feel better When Im under the weather To create a brand new land. Territories only seen by the dove, Realms overwhelmed by adventure and love. Or even worlds the size of your hand. Im so deeply indebted to you, I dont know what I can do. I only wish I could show it. Lord, Im nobody special down here, But I want to make it clear, That Im delighted you made me a poet.
