I just couldnt wait to share with BYES fellows about a person whom i found just overwhelmingly surprising. After a quick browse on Stanford Social Innovation i googled him in no time. Reading him all i felt is, there is every reason to feel proud as a Bangladeshi. Iqbal Z Qudir is the Founder and and Director of Legatum Center at MIT. Well even that didnt surprise me. What was surprising for me is, he is the founder of Grameen Phone of Bangladesh. Its him who accumulated Dr. Yunus and Telenor of Norway. Grameen phone has well been branded as a profitable venture by now, i never knew it is social venture. I discovered him from the Stanford social innovation review while i was reading an article on lobbying. Folks ! browse more on him , all you will get is inspiration and inspiration to move forward. What will more drive you to dig and play with your own ideas is: he is a pure Bangladeshi unlike Salman khan who was born and grew up in Bangladesh. MIT introduced him as (Iqbal Z. Quadir is) a long-time champion of the critical role of entrepreneurship and innovations. Quadir was a Fellow and Lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on the democratizing effects of technologies in low-income countries. So if you are a tech savvy who knows ! how potential you are to be next Iqbal Quadir. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iqbal_Quadir).
