I just felt the wrath of a very unhappy man. No patient has ever been more mean to me than this one!! Im telling you, he chewed me up and down before I even got started with his exam. I felt God put his arm over my shoulder and say Be kind, Mackenzie So I said Well, I am so sorry you feel that way. Im not going to be upset because I know that your anger is not meant to be directed towards me. I am just here doing my job. I proceeded to take his xray and he proceeded to spit out mean things. I said Sir, Im here trying to get a nice view for the doctor so we can see whats going on in there and causing you pain, I have been doing my best for you since I walked through the door. Before I left he gave a grumbled apology. I walked out thankful that I had not mirrored his attitude but it took a little chip of my happiness away. We sometimes forget the power that words have over others.
