I just finished a 10 day matric paper marking stint for the first time. It was at HS Florida in Roodepoort. It wasnt what I expected. I expected the conditions to be uncomfortable, the people to be rude and selfish, the food to be terrible and the process painful and slow. In stead the people were friendly and helpful, the job was interesting and fun but VERY TIRING, the food was okay and I felt part of a great team. I marked 1500 exam papers and because of all the help from Esra Colwage my chief marker and Rudolph my senior marker ... time flew. Let me tell you this - the teachers work very hard to get the results out. And the system is robust, efficient and professionally run. Thanks to everyone! Now if only the kids had studied ...
