I just finished my work week. This week was taxing, since we started to phase out of our winter menu, into our brand-new, super-super-rad, Far-East-inspired, early spring menu. Very exciting. Much to do during the next two dahys, to prepare for my next work, which starts always on Tuesdahys. . . My fellow Chefs recognize and appreciate, my attention to detail. My hard work does not go unnoticed. What I sometimes lack in speed, I deliver and redeem, with precision and consistency. . . Starting with this next work week, I will work the usual shift with all of my fellow Chefs, from Tuesdahys through Thursdahys, and on Fridahys and Saturdahys, I will start early in the morning (~0830) and prep for a full dahy, essentially until the start of dinner service (1800). I would have liked to transition into a full-time prep-only position, but the end-of-week change of scenery is, just by itself, so very welcome. I worked a full-dahy prep-only shift two dahys ago on Fridahy, and the peace and quiet in the kitchen for several hours in the morning and early afternoon, was especially relaxing. Like Paradise. I did not make the cut for Sous Chef. But that is alright. I am now a Prep Chef for about half of my work week. I am able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning whilst honing my craft. To me, this transition in scheduling is a Promotion that I have earned, by my very own merits. I can not wait to suit-up early once again in the morning, and savor the quiet still of the kitchen, whilst prepping various lengthy projects. Zero drama, zero trifling distractions, zero noise pollution. . . I do not go to work to get paid. I do not give a rats ass about Money. As part of The Skinhead Ethic, I derive immense pleasure when I render solid, hard physical work every dahy in the workplace. Skilled, and rigorous, brick-and-mortar physical work. The Skinhead Ethic. Money is not by any means, my motivation to report to work or push onward at work. I deliver solid workmanship, and demonstrate undying loyalty to The Team, and without fail, I am always compensated fairly for my diligence. . . New menu, new work schedule. Fundamental changes. A paradigm shift! ### The Skinhead Ethic. The Guild Mentality.
