I just finished reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X, a book - TopicsExpress

I just finished reading The Autobiography of Malcolm X, a book absolutely everyone should read regardless of race, religion, or politics. As a young SDA teenager in the early 60s I was mostly shielded from politics and racial turmoil and Malcolm X was a name I heard maybe once or twice, always in a pejorative way. When this book was recommended to me I naturally expected a black power racist diatribe, and in the beginning thats what it was. The book was written at the end of his life, at a time he was going through the second of two major transformations in philosophy and attitude. I have to admit, I was surprised by how much a man can change in one lifetime. If he had lived, I believe history would have remembered him much differently.
