I just finished reading what was to me a painful article under the heading Jamaica, Jamaica: For sale, No Offer too Low. It apparently comes from a paper(?) called CucumberJuice. Among several disturbing reports it claims that the Government of Jamaica has, in exchange for Chinese investment (through CHEC) allowed the Chinese government to select 1,200 acres of land in Jamaica The article raises several pointed questions, none of which I could answer except that the Chinese have been given what they want in the Goat island debacle...long ago, while we were trying to muster up signatures to present to the PM to say we do NOT APPROVE. Which land has been donated? Is it all in one block or in several parcels? That and several other questions need to be answered if the article is true. How could a political party sink so low? I do not believe it. Can anyone throw light on this claim? >
