I just finished watching the original on Netflix, I have high hopes for this version. The original is actually pretty good, when the antichrist comes to power at the end its sufficiently creepy and portrays an appropriate feeling of despair. I heard an interview with the author of the series recently who said he was on set recently and he liked what they were doing. I think its interesting that the character who is revealed to be the antichrist isnt listed in the credits for this version.
