I just found out that disgruntled Teddy Afros fans have started social media campaign to urge East Africans to boycott Coca Cola products because of the companys decision to drop the Ethio-Amharic singers World Cup Anthem. The campaigners are alleging Coca Cola products are unhealthy and bad for East Africans unless Coca-Cola reverses its decision and accepts Teddy Afros Anthem and pays the Amharic singer tens of millions of dollars. This is not a joke folks. It is true, people, I mean real people like me and you are saying this. They are saying coke is unhealthy for East Africans unless Coca Cola accepts Teddys song and pay him huge amount of money. Can you believe that. They are saying the singer can change poison into a medicine for East Africans like me and you). Well in protest I have resumed drinking coke after 15 years and I have changed my cover page to reflect my decision. The following are quotes from what these people are saying: A large number of Diaspora community is urging East African nations to stop drinking Coca-Cola, in protest for Coca-Cola’s outrageous action to drop Teddy Afro’s World Cup Anthem. A significant number of Teddy Afro’s fans on twitter are also raising ethical and health issues related to Coca-Cola, arguing that the products are causing health and environmental damages. “These campaigns and allegations would certainly affect Coca-Cola largely with its sales in the Horn of Africa, unless Coca-Cola reconsiders the decision”, says one of the fans who is moderating a Facebook page. zehabesha/coca-cola-under-fire-for-dropping-teddy-afros-world-cup-anthem/
