I just found out that the Conflict Management course Im taking this semester is also part of the Service and Learning Together (SALT) program, a subprogram called Lipscomb Initiative for Education (LIFE) in which we take the course on-site at the Tennessee Prison for Women (TPW) alongside 15 inmates. This is going to be an interesting experience. I am also taking another SALT course, Servant Leadership. I do not know yet what the project will be. Apart from all the SALT courses, to graduate as a SALT Scholar, I am proposing a research project for a University Sustainability Plan. I will also be looking to do an internship for either Hands On Nashville or some other community organization, like Good Food for Good People or Nashville Urban Food Forests. Theres a lot of service to do this semester! Also looking forward to Ecology, Environmental Law & Policy, and Backpacking. I would also like to take an online course from NCSU this semester toward a Renewable Energy Assessment certificate. Lets get this done! :)
