I just found out today I will be having a c section. I was planning another (third) natural, 100% intervention free birth with my midwife but she had to transfer me to an OB specialist because baby is footling breech at 37 weeks pregnant, one leg is up by her face. Im very upset. Aside from suffering from anxiety and being 100% against surgery I just cant imagine the probability I wont be able to be with my baby immediately. I am an hour and a half from the hospital with my last two births being 3 hours, I dont think I can avoid a scheduled section. Do I have ANY chance of things like delayed cord clamping, or not having my baby washed (we really wanted to do that ourselves). Nursing on strong pain killers boggles my mind, really??? Its hard to talk about but I did not bond with my second son at all and it was very difficult for me and probably 100x more difficult on him. Im so scared of this happening again and terrified of the surgery. Any advice is welcome and thank you.-Anonymous
