I just got a call that my Dad is at Forsyth Memorial and has apparently been there since Wednesday. He has not responded to my texts and phone calls for weeks. There is a sale pending on his house up the street, that he refused to move into, choosing instead to live 65 miles away from his only family. I have accepted the fact that Dad is beyond my abilities. If he were an agreeable, cooperative person, there is nothing I wouldnt do for him. But he is an abusive, belligerent person whose worst personality characteristics have been boiled down to a concentrated form in the face of poor health and poor adherence to treatment. Nonetheless, I am requesting prayers, along with my own, that some resolution for the care of my father is found. I cant do anything for him anymore but pray. I will not subject myself to any more verbal abuse or objects being thrown.
