I just got a phone call from my friend who lives in Grass Valley - TopicsExpress

I just got a phone call from my friend who lives in Grass Valley sharing that she saw there was a snake on the loose in Thousand Oaks, and wanted to know if I knew about it. I laughed. Yes. I know about it. It was last seen on the street behind mine and I loved when she said, Well, this shouldnt bother you. You lived in the country where rattle snakes slithered! Yes, but none of my rattle snakes made the news. No one ever seemed to care if I had a rattler in my yard, but yet this hunt for the potentially lethal cobra, where the anti-venom seems to be safely housed in a zoo in San Diego, (hours away) and if bitten, one must be administered the dose before the 1/2 hour or there is a possibility that they could die... is just a tad different. Its funny because emotionally I feel as if this snake is connected to the mafia, and that if I dont pay up its going to slither into my house and bite me. And every time one of my dogs bark I run out to see what they are barking at, because Im hoping to find the snake, but then wonder how Im going to hold it. What do you say to a snake, Now, dont you slither away. You just wait here until the snake magi gets here, and if you listen everything will be just fine! If anyone finds the snake before I do, the authorities want us to call... (818) 991-0071, but Im thinking 911 will work just fine. Onward to yelling, Herrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, snakey, snakey, snakey!
