I just got a report that OAU Ile Ife is currently boiling as a fall-out of the protest against Jonathan on the campus on Friday. Some members of Education Rights Campaign (ERC) were attacked at the Students Union Building where they held the Osun state meeting of the organization. The attack was reportedly led by the PRO of the pro-establishment students union leadership. The assailants were said to include some elements who are not OAU students but suspected to be PDP thugs or NANS jobbers. A member of ERC was axed in the town. At present three members of ERC are hospitalized. Two of the assailants have been apprehended by Great Ife students and being subjected to traditional justice at Awo Hall. ERC members were attacked because of their role in the protest against Jonathan.
