I just got another fun update from my friend, Jon, who adopted our foster pup Agnes in February. Many of you wrote cards to him after his feet were crushed in a horrible work accident in July. After three long months in a wheelchair, this avid hiker has found his smile again! Jons doctor gave him the okay to walk again, but that he should do it gradually and not overdue it. Ha! Heres what Jon just wrote: Today I hiked six miles around Castlewood Canyon. It was very beautiful but by the end my feet were very sore. The physical therapist asked if I was training for the Olympics! My feet are feeling better. Slowly better. And Agnes and Watanga are re-acclimating to hiking and walking (and so am I). I am soo happy to be out with my dogs again. So so happy to be able to ask them if they want to go for a walk... and then take them when they are all super excited. Were happy for you, Jon (even if you arent a very good patient)! LOL
