I just got back from a trip I took with my son Jonathan (Jono) Key - TopicsExpress

I just got back from a trip I took with my son Jonathan (Jono) Key to Chicago. We saw the Atlanta Braves play the Chicago Cubs in two games at Wrigley Field. Wrigley Field was built in 1914 so it is 100 years old this season so the Cubs are celebrating events that happened at Wrigley over the years. The Chicago Bears NFL football team played there in the 1960s and in 1965 Gale Sayers, a rookie halfback from Kansas, scored an NFL record 6 touchdowns in one game against the San Francisco 49ers at Wrigley. So to commemorate that event they gave away Gale Sayers bobble head dolls to all attending the game. Gale threw out the first pitch and led the crowd in Take Me Out to the Ball Game at the end of the 7th inning. We saw a second game on Saturday won 11-6 by the Braves. We also took a double decker bus tour of Chicago, went to the observation decks of the Willis Tower and the Hancock building and shopped some on the Miracle Mile along Michigan Avenue. I met Jon in Nashville where he lives and amazingly enough it only takes 1 hour to fly to Chicago from there.
