I just got back from walking over to the camp kitchen to borrow back some of my pans.. Im doing a lot of baking today.. Checking out the first pantry with a flashlight and there was a big mouse.. I had good gloves on, the ones I use for wood and water so just grabbed it, threw it on the floor and crunched it.. Bye, bye... My hand can still feel it. I usually get them with a broom handle but I wasnt going to let this opportunity pass by... Went and shut doors tight after that but the first pantry has almost an inch of free space at the bottom of the door... Making lemon bundt pound cake, cheesecake brownies, gluten free chocolate cake, Mexican wedding cookies and a big batch of oatmeal cookies.. Will freeze most for Christmas... And applesauce walnut cookies later.. Found some good King Arthur flour. Had to throw away the batch of Rogers oatmeal cookies when I used the gluten free flour.. The cookies just crumbled and did not brown.. So much for that.. Glad I did not buy a big bunch of it... Must be a special way/recipes for using it.... We want to thank Gunnar, Adrian Johnson and little Peanut for the use of their car while we were in Galena.. People would wave at us then do a double take.. Ha ha... Galena was COLD with a wind so really appreciate it.. Thanks to Harold, Bubba and Noland also... Good to have good friends.
