I just got home from the hospital, my Brother is up there with my Dad....I have yet to see all of the wounds, but I saw the clothes he had on, and I have heard about his leg. My Dad has only one good leg, and of course that is the one that got the most damage. They at first thought he might have to be taken to surgery, but couldnt because his heart rate was very low....Im pretty sure my Daddy was in shock, but they ended up just sewing him up....They are watching him pretty close, and was concerned about a skip in his heart as well. They are giving him lots of pain meds, and I know he has to be hurting because that old man is one of the toughest men I have ever seen. I never saw a doctor tonight, so really dont know anything...I think they were worried about the muscle not working in his calve...I guess he was bitten all over. He was standing outside of his pickup talking to a man, the man went into the office to get a phone number, and one of the seven dogs came up and bit him, of course he couldnt run, the dog bit again, my Dad went to the ground, and then the others came...My Dad believes the one dog who did the most damage was maybe trying to help him.....that dog, jumped on the other dog...now I am about as big of a dog lover you will ever find. These dogs are not pets, they are just dogs. No one pets them, and when you have that many animals, they are not in a good place, because they do not get the attention they deserve. My Dad should survive this, but unless anyone knows a dog, you should never, ever trust them, because you dont know how they are raised, or if they are raised. Thank you all so much for you prayers. Times like these when you are so shook up, and cant hardly think, let alone pray, and I know there are so many of you who are asking for my Dad to be okay, and for us to be okay, who may be heard more than myself. You will never know what that means to me.....I am very tired, and will try to get to bed before long, just wanted to give some kind of update....Oh and he did eat a little dinner, so I think thats a good sign. Thank you all again.
