I just got off a conference call with the participating band directors and the organizers for the Honda Battle of the Bands. The Southern University Marching Band will perform to the press box side! In addition, I would like to congratulate my predecessor and mentor, Mr. Lawrence Jackson. He has been selected to be the 2015 Band Director Honoree! This award is given to a retired or deceased band director who has made a positive impact in the band arena! Dr. Greggs was honored a few years back. Give them their roses while they are still here! We love you Mr. J!
