I just got off the phone with a lovely lady that I am going to be driving to the polls tomorrow for Kentuckians For The Commonwealth. She is making sure her voice is heard, and she takes 3 busses to get to work. I am picking her up at 5:50 AM, so she can be at the polls when they open and she can catch her 6:30 bus. She is voting and she has almost 4.5 hours of public transport a day to get to and from her job. If she can do it, so can you. And, a plug here for how intrinsically unfair our 12 hour time period to vote is. It automatically disenfranchises people who do not have cars, or have to work long hours. How about 2 weeks to vote if we wont make tomorrow a serious holiday?
