I just had a conference with Bres teachers. They are wanting to move her to all advanced classes. I have two concerns. 1. Bre is very smart. She gets bored very quickly. I do not think she is being challenged at all with her current school work. She did exceed every subject on her CRCT last year. I do not want her to get bored and look for other things to do her time. So this is really important to me. I do not want her to be come complacent. I want her challenged and growing. 2. I do not want her to be so over whelmed with school she loses the passion of learning she aquires. She loves school and learning whatever Avenue we are using. I want to be sure we are fostering that love of learning. I also do not want her to get bored and lose that desire. Have any of you dealt with this before? What are my teacher friends and family views on this? Any parents with middle or high school advanced placement in all subjects or just single subjects? What has been your experience? I of course will be having this talk with Bre. I would just like to have prospectives from the parents sideand what they have seen.
