I just had a crying meltdown…at work -_- Usually im like die to be seen crying. Lastnight I was in a predicament and wanted to take one of our teen boys home with me coz I’d heard he was homeless. I spent a few hours trying to locate emergency housing or a shelter for him but to no avail. Today my workmate and I managed to get a list of contacts and thought we’d go halvies ringing around these places – this is where the meltdown happened – there is like no such service provider or boarding house in the South Auckland region that this boy could go to. Its beyond my understanding as to why this doesn’t exist for youth. We managed to have a chat with our local police officers who gave us a bigger picture on the whole situation but still - the fact that theres next to nothing out there for youth is unbelievable. This place sucks more than a vacuum
