I just had a strange thing happen to me. I went to Cub Groceries - TopicsExpress

I just had a strange thing happen to me. I went to Cub Groceries for a couple of items I needed to do a cauliflower curry this evening. I got in the short check-out line. There were only two customers ahead of me but I realized the woman and her teenage daughter, who were being checked out were giving the cashier a world of grief. I considered changing lines but all were backed way up and the woman in front of me only had three things. Well I finally got up to the cashier and she was muttering about having had enough people yelling at her for one day. She checked my two items through and I took my little bag and headed out to my car. I would preface the next set of events with the fact that I am always extremely careful in parking lots as they are often times a zoo. I got into my little Fiesta, Started it up and cranked down my window as it was a really nice day. I buckled up, looked both ways, and checked all three mirrors. The rude woman and her daughter were passing by pushing a shopping cart. Now they were on the far side of the lane(not right behind me) and they were nearly past so I started backing out slowly. My car will turn sharp enough that I would not even have to back more than half across the lane before I could swing and head out. The whole time I was doing this I was watching these women in my mirrors. Suddenly the daughter turned and screamed something about slowing down. Then she ran over and hit my trunk with a fist. She was screaming something about being a pedestrian. I yelled for her to get the hell out of the way and when she did I turned and left. Well I was home for about twenty minutes when a knock came at my door. It was one of Hopkins finest. He asked if I had gotten in an altercation in the Cub parking lot. I said that I would not say that there was an altercation though there would have probably been one if I had gotten out of my car. I told the story of what had happened to the officer and he told me that the daughter had claimed I had backed into her. She had not been injured and did not want to press charges. I repeated the fact that I was nowhere close to them until the daughter ran back and hit my car with her fist and that I had observed them in my mirrors the whole time. The Officer left. Damn psychos...
