I just had the greatest breakfast of my life at Monells in Nashville! Located in an old Victorian house, its a family-style restaurant where they sit you next to strangers and start bringing out heaping bowls of sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, cheese grits, baked apples, corn casserole, pancakes and fried chicken! It might have been the best food Ive ever eaten. Their slogan, I kid you not, is Ive eaten and I cant get up. Get there before 11am on Sunday, they stop serving breakfast at 11 and the after-church crowd starts piling in shortly thereafter! Im eating high on the hog here in Nashville!
