I just had the most awkward conversation with a member of a group I signed up to about business. The first thing he said to me was, you seem like an intelligent fellow, I like collecting them for my database, added. I though, OK... Then he offers to sell me this book on getting rich quick. Im like dude, hay listen, I dont think... Ok you can have it free. Hmm... I see whats going on here. on one condition you promote it for free and you can even make a little money from it too by selling it for me Alarm bells ring. I do a little googling on him and his affiliate scheme, turns out its a known pyramid scheme software. He hounds me this morning asking if I read his 77 page ebook he gave me in 12 hours. Saying Do you love it? huh, huh do you love it? Can I get you to record a video on your Iphone telling me how much you love it? I can smell used car salesman on his breath at this point. So I tells him Look dude, whilst I do appreciate the gesture of a a free over priced $25.00 ebook about getting rich quick, I dont appreciate the salesman breath. He gets pissed, how dare you, I offer you my book for free and you call me a crook? Are you high? Your an idiot, screw you I should have never given it to you. So i says to him See that right there, insulting a potential customer is not the right way to go, just be nice to people, find out what that want what they need what their goals are before you go shoving products down their mouth. He got all depressed and blocked me. I have nothing against people selling stuff, but at least try and build a rapport with me and get to know what I what before you assume I love your product and sign me up to your lifetime subscription to it. I have been involved in many affiliate schemes,and sales, but dont be a dick about it. I hope he thinks about this.
