I just had the weirdest Friday flashback. When I was in grade 4, this teacher, who was an ex fireman, came into our class to relief. He had a snapped tendon in his finger from firefighting and he could bend it the opposite way so he showed us. This boy in our class, Brian, freaked out so bad he had an epileptic fit in his chair. Some kids laughed, some were confused, none knew what was happening or what to do. Looking back, I never realised the seriousness of the situation, or how I SHOULD have be aware that Brian was epileptic to begin with. I think kids need to know about things like this, :(
