I just had to share these pics from today... Even though Penelope is not technically one of our Rescued fur-kids, She and her family are good friends, and Penelope stays here at Brandy Keg when they go out of town. Today, her parents called Shane for an assist and house-call. Penelope was spayed today at a local clinic, and while she was under anesthesia, someone at the clinic put the poor babys harness on backwards... so she was uncomfortable and out of sorts when she awoke to find her harness too tight and rubbing against her new incision. Penelope was nipping at everyone in her family when they noticed the issue and tried to help her out by removing the harness. So, long story short, Shane got to see one of his favorite fur-kids and sweet-talked Penelope into letting him remove the offensive harness. He started out by asking her for her side of the story, and she played along by showing him the paw they put the IV into, and showed him that she laid down and closed her eyes... So he asked her Then what happened?... and she showed him her belly.... So he showed her the pair of scissors, then snuggled her for a few minutes, and when she came in for another hug, he snipped the harness free... I think the pics show how happy she was at that point to finally be comfortable and relax at home after her ordeal today :)
