I just had to share this - some of you may remember my $3.50 Goodwill find of a completely cut out Mystery Quilt, with instructions! I counted, and all of the pieces were there, with 54 sections already stitched. I noted that the sections appeared to be sewn on the wrong edge, and proceeded to take them apart. WELL, it turned out, after I stitched all 74 of those sections on the correct edge, that wasnt the problem - they were cut backwards! So, me being me, said, OK, what can I do with this. Well, how about taking them all apart again, and restitching the strip of fabric and re-cutting the pieces! Yes, why not! Then yesterday I read the meaning of starters and enders - and laughed, because thats a brilliant way to reconstruct those strips! I obviously enjoy a challenge and may, one day (Ill be sure to post lol!) end up with a very wonky, scrappy, 300 hour table runner!
