I just have to ask a question........... Now, I admit that I am not terribly politically literate. I have no idea how the preference system works, to be honest I dont even have a great insight into what it is the two big parties are even supposed to stand for. What I do know is bullshit, corruption, incompetence and fraud when I see it. My question is this.... why do we, the residents and ratepayers of the Gold Coast HAVE to put up with Tate and his maniacal self serving ways for a minute longer? I know somebody elected him (though I am yet to meet a single individual who will own up to that) but in the face of overwhelming evidence to suggest that he is not right or able to perform his duties, why should we have to suffer until the next election? I know that I, as a worker, would be summarily dismissed for comparable gross misconduct such as we have seen and continue to see, and I would not hesitate to dismiss anyone similarly under my charge. I have never before in my life been driven to political activism until now, confronted with such a sickening abuse of position and power, and such self-serving, corrupt practices. PLEASE can someone explain to me any possible reason why this can be permitted to happen? I have made all reasonable efforts - I have written to all councilors and MPs, some have responded, some have ignored me, some have suggested that my words are libelous. How can it be libelous if it is true? Why are the councilors so afraid to represent the will and the word of the people? The Gold Coast is in a dangerous, irreversible downward spiral that needs to stop, now.
