I just heard an awful awful thing about an artist snobbing a venue! As a promoter I have never experienced this but I tell you what Id do if my show got a nose turned up at it..... everyone I know in the business would become privy to it PDQ. When I suggested bands to the many people where I live that have private parties and fund raisers and rodeos I would most definitely never suggest that artist. I would not encourage sales for them, push their music, buy their music, attends their gigs, buy their Merch, or sport their t-shirts. Texas/Red Dirt music is about character as much as it is about music. We as fans need to connect with you, know you, and like you in order to be a devoted fan. I would shun that artist from my world, and Thats just the beginning. Ego is something you need to save up and use When you headline the big arenas. Theres no room for it here.
