I just heard this stat on the radio this morning: U.S. attorneys - TopicsExpress

I just heard this stat on the radio this morning: U.S. attorneys prosecuted 162,000 federal cases in 2010, the most recent year for which we have data. Grand juries declined to return an indictment in 11 of them. Only 11 out of 162,000 didnt go to trial. This prosecutor had an agenda...he put his finger on the scale of justice and made sure this case wouldnt go to trial. Maybe in revenge for his father, a St Louis police officer killed in the line of duty...or maybe because his uncle and cousin are St Louis police officers...or maybe because hes the President of BackStoppers, an organization that raises money for police officers. Whatever the reason..he made sure justice (a trial, not a finding of guilt necessarily...just a trial) will never be done.
