I just joined today and thank you for the acceptance. A little about my sailing career if you will. I learned to sail kind of unconventionally as my first boat was a Hobie Cat 16 and the first time I took it out I capsized. I was 20 yrs. old at the time and since then have mastered the art of sailing those fast pontoons. My boat after that was an ODay 17 which as you can guess was sailing at a snails pace in comparison. Shortly after I moved up to a Catalina 22MK with pop top and I am now sailing a Catalina 25 with pop top and love every minute of it. So after 24 yrs. at the helm I have settled down and decided that cruising is the life style for me, although I do rent a Hobie about 4 times a year just for the thrill. If anyone on here lives in or near the Jacksonville, FL area contact me and maybe we can go sailing. I was supposed to head to the Bahamas this October after hurricane season, but work has me and my girlfriend buckled down, but we still plan on sailing at least to the Keys. Nice to be a part of a group that shares the same thing that I do and that is wind in the sails, and a smile on your face. Good Sailing to all.
