I just learned from his sister that Ken Gimblin passed away today. People my age remember him from a.m. radio sports and others from KTXL 40. His sister described him this way: I lost my big brother, Ken Gimblin, today. He was the Ryan Seacrest of his time -- a sportscaster for half the radio stations in town at one time or another, the first sports anchor for our local Fox affiliate, KTXL 40, the host of a live, on-air Major League Baseball Post Game show on KXTV, Channel 10 and the host of Bowling for Dollars. Oh yeah, he was also an educator for 50 years. Ken worked with the SF Giants and 49ers until the day he died. Ill remember him as the cool guy who made the best peanut butter sandwiches in town, and always offered me good advice. Im going to miss him like crazy. youtu.be/FVlxiUSIjoo
