I just left a visit with a doctor and an Intern to learn for myself what the effects of Obamacare will have on the American public. First I just plain didn t like Ocare and now I am terrified of it for you young folks . Yes even you stupid can t get out of the rain liberals that voted him in office. There will be the biggest shortage of doctors in America in on coming years that it will be hard to believe IF Ocare stays in effect. I noticed today that family doctors are starting to open their offices an hour earlier than in the past. Why? They are trying to make a living buy working for less and putting in more hours. I talked to a family doctor that stays busy and is making less than 100,000. a year. I talked to an intern that looked to be about 30. He has two more years of schooling and internship. When this ends he ll owe nearly 400,000. dollars in loans to pay for his education. I am an old Oily so I have to compare in my field. I can tell that some of the hardest working folks in America are in this group. God bless them for all the long hours and time they are away from their families. But in comparison. an oilfield consultant with a high school education can easily make over 200,000. a year and many make a lot more than this. Why is there not going to be as many doctors in the future? What bright kid looking for a career is going to spend the time and money to be a doctor when a five year degree will bring you in more time off and higher wages? Simple economics, common sense. Medicare patients forget it. These doctors will not even make you an appointment. They are told by the government what they can charge it is something like 65% under normal rates.. There will be enough folks willing to pay 80 to 100% of the doctor fees where the doctor can make money and a living that where will not be enough hours in the day for a doctor to see you on Medicare. Simple economics and a little common sense.
