I just listened all the way through L i m i t for the first time in quite a while. And I have to say... I thoroughly enjoyed it. It brings back fond memories; sending ideas back and forth with Brandon while attending separate colleges, the underbelly of the audio you hear (troubles we had recording, etc... the album cover photo shoot that incidentally required us to stare at the sun for a extended period of time... but I can now listen with a fresh perspective/ appreciation. Im not writing, arranging, recording, or mixing any of these songs, (nor have I been for quite some time)... It makes me all the more excited to be on the brink of the second (much longer) record. Many people have much more experience releasing records/ or do it much more frequently... but regardless... it is truly an experience. I dont think I will have any regrets with either L i m i t or P e r e n n i a l in the long-run, because theve each been such a unique experience all on their own. Cultural relevance, or popularity aside... theyll each hold a great personal value to the time, place and people involved. Cheers to making the music that you want, regardless of what people want to hear, or whats gonna blow up on the radio.
