I just looked at Facebook and saw that a bunch of my friends are at the circus with their kids. Now, I know its a free country and we can do as we please, and I probably do things yall dont agree with...but I really wish yall would think twice before going to the circus. Before giving one cent to Wringling Brothers and any other circus who uses animals. The pain and suffering those animals endure, for you and your kids viewing pleasure is absolutely heinous. Wild animals are meant to be in the wild. Theyre not meant to spend 22 hours in a cage that they can barely stand up in or locked to chains, and only let out to be beaten and hit and pushed to painful extremes and positions. Thats what the animal trainers do. They abuse poor defenseless animals. This circus life isnt a life an animal supposed to live. If your child wants to see an animal, take them to the zoo where animals have a little more space. A safe space. Or take them to the elephant sanctuary (the place where they let rescued elephants live) right here in Tennessee. Use that circus/cotton candy/souvenir money to buy items the sanctuary needs, and go donate them. Just please, dont go to the circus. It makes my heart hurt more than most anything else in the world. #AnimalsDontForget The amount of suffering those elephants, and the tigers and the lions go through in order to entertain anyone’s five year old for fifteen minutes is a crime
