I just lost all faith in the Humane Society and will no longer support anything to do with it. This is a very short sighted opinion. I know by personal example that with proper care, attention and responsible companions large parrots can thrive. Case in point Lola. She has told me she loves me, enjoys people and is thriving in my home. I also disagree with the term Pets. Mine are not pets but members of my family. How can you call someone a pet when they do that, play tricks on you interact with you like she does me. I do agree that wild birds should be kept there and only captive bread birds adopted into families. I also acknowledge that there to many idiots out there that neglect or abuse their birds but that is also true of dogs and cats. RESPONSIBLE families turn out happy well adjusted birds. Well enough of my soap box for now.
