I just love good Samaritans and serving others. And following the subtle guidance of the Universe. Coming home from a job this morning, something told me to take a detour and bring my honey some YUMMY raw pad Thai. Its such a huge relief to have an income where I can do nice little things again and not worry about money. On the way home, I saw a large SUV on the side of the road and immediately thought, Yep, thats the second reason I came this way. The father of Filipino family was trying to change a blowout to no avail. His jack wasnt high enough. The second I pulled over, a very kind Indian guy also pulled over to help. Neither of our jacks were tall enough, either. THAT SECOND, an Aussie tow truck driver with a flatbed came in the opposite direction and shouted, Hang on, mates! Me truck oughta do the trick! He crossed the median, backed up and easily jacked up the SUV using the flatbed as leverage while I changed the tire. The super kind father, mother and two beautiful daughters shook the hands and bowed to all of us. The look on their faces when I spoke a little Tagalog was priceless! AND they all work a few blocks from my night job. I told them any time they want a free ride to come see me. They couldnt have been nicer. Being of service, whether to my sweetheart, my daughter Tofu or complete strangers, brings me more joy than anything I do. In fact, as odd as this sounds, our kissing and lovemaking have been spectacular of late...and getting that family home safely brought me almost as much pleasure. Life is good.
