I just made some homemade dog food for Keisha my daytime work - TopicsExpress

I just made some homemade dog food for Keisha my daytime work buddy who helps me around the RV, and bike trailer, repairing guns & bows, then we eat lunch together everyday. But she would not eat her regular dry dog food after she noticed I was eating better stuff, she aint stupid ... LOL ... So she ask me to fix her a 1/4 pound Hot dog some days, other times I would share my lunch with her before we both laid down to take a afternoon nap. She needs to eat better, so I took a can of the Chicken & Rice dog food, that Keisha would not eat, or even sniff that crap... I added about 2&1/2 or 3 quarts of water and started cooking. I added some chicken stock and a large can of Salmon, that was due to expire soon and stirred all that in, I added the remaining 4 or 5 cups of dry dog food she would not eat anymore that was just laying in her dish ... I brought this to a low boil, then added 1/2 cup barley, 1/2 cup Rice, & 1/4 cup grits, when this mixture came back to a low boil, — I tasted it? Grin... It needed salt, so I added some salt, it could have used some Garlic & Onions, but Garlic or Onions are not good for dogs, so I didn’t add any... I did use Celery salt for the salt ... Then I set this mixture off the heat to soak up the juices and thicken before the final taste tester, “Keisha” eats lunch today, we shell see if it’s a 2 Paws Up and lick your lips meal ... LOL ...
