I just met a former Paisley resident named Joan (née) McAllister working at Sams Club here in Mansfield, Ohio USA! :) She said she still has family in Paisley and has gone back every 13 years since she married her online boyfriend that brought her here to the States. She used to work in the gym at St. Mirrens field taking tickets. She said she lived in a very tall sandstone building on Andrews St. Near the old stadium that was torn down. I contacted my longtime internet friend, Allen McLaughlin who is a HUGE St. Mirrens fan and wrote an article about the old stadium. He is a cameraman for the BBC. He has taught me everything I know about Paisley and Scotland and I was able to have a lovely conversation with Joan that began by me asking about her accent. :) Allen suggested that I come here to look for someone that may recognize her info, just so I can surprise her with the news the next time I visit the store.
