I just met a man that was a Vietnam vet, about my dads age @ the grocery store... He followed me around for a bit. He looked tired & hungry... He asked me if he could ask me something... I said of course. He went on to tell me his story & how he & his wife were hungry & needed a little help....he told me how he was in Vietnam vet & showed me his old military ID & how he just lost his job.... And if I could help him with buying a couple things.... And of course I could not say no. We talked for about 15 minutes after.... He took off on his bike.... I dont know what it is about Vietnam vets or poor people in general that make my heart break... I just cant say no.... Its not the first time a random stranger asks me for help & I give in.... I dont know if Im a sucker, but I always feel like I want to help whenever I can.... I think about my dad & how that couldve been him.... I feel sad & blessed at the same time
