I just painstakingly read an epistle written by a Career Jonathanian (apologies Prof Adesanmi) purporting to be a patriotic Nigerian, in response to the scathing remark of US Republican Senator, John McCain against the Nigeria government. The piece written by Okechukwu Okorie lacks depth and was a boring tirade where the author bored his audience with tales of the failed Presidential ambition of John McCain, how he supported gun ownership in the US Senate against good conscience. He posited that 30,000 people die annually in the US from gun related violence and went on to condemn John McCain for describing Nigeria as a non existent country, contrary to what the Senator said. It may be recalled that Senator McCain told CNN that Nigeria is a country practically without a government, given the dereliction of the government in protecting the Chibok school girls from being abducted and their lip service towards rescuing the girls. The author stated that McCain who has no presidential experience do not have what it takes to advise President Jonathan. Career Jonathanians have been sharing the rejoinder as their status. I hereby dismiss the piece as TOTAL HOGWASH and a waste of time, space and internet bandwidth. Senator John McCain said the gospel truth and I stand shoulder to shoulder with him!
