I just participated in the Republican PEC Forum held at the Parish Council Chamber. The St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court commented on the rudeness of assistant district attorneys to her staff. The question asked was, “What is your opinion and how would you address it?” Coach Paul BEAR Bryant is quoted often, “It does not cost anything to be nice”. For the entire 38 years of practice I have thanked, praised, and acknowledged the outstanding work of all the Clerks of Court. The Clerks have returned to me and now my associates tenfold in their friendship and knowledge. I assure you that my assistant district attorneys will take their lead by example from me. We will be mindful of courtesy, promptness, preparation not just to the Clerks, but to all who we interact with. IT DOES NOT COST ANYTHING TO BE NICE.
