I just penned my reivew of PONO for Tape Op and putting it all down made it pretty obvious that were witnessing the dawn of a new era for audio. Streaming is growing, CDs are dying out, and MP3s and other lossy formats really have no place in our near future. It wont happen overnight, but we are now exiting a really bad era for sound and headed toward a much better one. The key is that people are being given the opportunity to care about sound again, which only accentuates, deepens, intensifies and expands the experience of listening to records.
