I just posted this on CNN.....in response to a post by Dem Congressman Steve Israel from NY. Congressman Israel, I hate to break the news to you, but President Obama, Leader Reid, Speaker Pelosi and ALL THE DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS WERE WARNED...please refer to Eric Cantors comments in the joint meeting with President Obama 2.25.2010...just one example. President Obama and the Democrat House and Senate Majorities decided to move forward with THEIR version of healthcare insurance reform, WITHOUT A SINGLE GOP VOTE. They didnt need any to pass it, so they did it without any. (And bent the rules to do so.) And apparently Speaker Pelosi was spot on when she said, Well have to pass it (ACA) to find out whats in it. You are correct in a FEW of you criticisms of the GOP...in that they have not articulated a SPECIFIC ALTERNATIVE to the ACA/Obamacare. I, as a Conservative Republican AND the husband of an ER doctor, believe that we need to find a way to make sure ALL Americans (except those who choose NOT to work) have access to complete medical care. For someone to ultimately die/or be maimed, because they did not /could not have access to COMPLETE medical care, is a tragedy. As a Christian, I also believe we have been charged by our Lord, to care for the sick. Thus, it is our duty as believers TO COME UP WITH A WAY TO DO THAT! But the bottom line is this, YOU DEMOCRATS HAVE ROYALLY SCREWED HEALTHCARE INSURANCE UP going forward!!!! No doubt. You ALL own the ACA. Its your legislation, passed with only Democrat votes. And the Obama Administration has delivered gross negligence and incompetence in rolling out the implementation of the ACA/Obamacare. But for the sake of the country and true bi-partisanship, I hope & pray that YOU DEMOCRATS, will realize the errors that have lead us ALL to this point....a breaking point both for healthcare insurance AND political cooperation...and honestly, sincerely reach out to the GOP, then start working on short and long-term solutions.
