I just posted this on my page, but thought it might be of interest here as well. This is a process photo of a natural building retrofit at Zigbone Farm Retreat Center in Maryland (US). We transformed an old garage into a meeting hall by: 1) super insulating the walls with strawbales wrapped around the interior 2) super insulating the ceiling with 100% recycled blown in cellulose 3) infilling interior walls with light clay straw for sound deadening 4) adding a timber framed vestibule made from local trees and salvaged barn wood 5) plastering all of the interior walls with thick clay plaster (made from site soil) 6) adding 2 tadelakt accent walls in the bathrooms (thanks to Ryan Chivers of Artesano Tadelakt, who hosted a workshop) I am, as always, happy to answer any questions. :)
