I just posted this on the iGas Stock Chat forum: Does anyone here ever do any real research into the deeper geopolitical agenda? Check out the nymex crude futures forecast; oil is not forecast to return to anywhere near $80 UNTIL 2024 ... OPEC smells unconventional blood and will drop the price to whatever level is necessary to shutdown the unconventional hydrocarbon industry and retake lost market share. Schlumberger, Halliburton and Baker Hughes are all effecting massive lay-offs and the active rig count is falling at a faster rate than at any time previous. The UK unconventional hydrocarbons industry is a political hot potato with EVERY party realising that this single issue is fuelling (no pun intended) a massive surge in Green Party membership. With a cross-party committee calling for a moratorium (the primary motivation of which is to dilute the issue during the hustings), by mid year it will be evident to all but those suffering from the most severe myopia, that the industry is absolutely Dead in the Water. Meanwhile, the astute will be rapidly looking to get into alternative energy and Big Oil might even start to reveal some of the technology that it has buried over the past 70+ years ... oh, but thats just a conspiracy theory, eh? When I first started posting here, I was genuinely trying to help the small investor from being taken to the cleaners ... those who heeded my counsel in the late summer are grinning from ear to ear ... wheras the suckers left behind are left to cry into their beer. Its almost 90mins before the market opens .... its going to be a very interesting day!!
