I just read a post saying that we should stop complaining and let the government do their job and just be positive. I think that is absolutely absurd. The thing is: the government is NOT doing their job. We cant be complacent while they deduct thousands of pesos of our salaries to go as taxes and the action that we get is a chillax response to the super typhoon. Even famous CNN reported the lack of response from our government. Please put yourself in their shoes. We have no right to stop the victims from complaining because in the first place they are the ones directly affected by the typhoon. The ones who are complaining are the ones who have lost their families and homes. Stopping them from complaining is like putting a gag in their desperate faces. Dont forget they are taxpayers too. To those who are not affected, we can be and think positive but the how about the victims? They need to survive instead of sugar-coated words that they cannot eat. We can only give them one thing: immediate help and long-term solution to this ordeal. People, especially children, have already died and are dying until now. We need actions. If we must flood the social media in order for the government to set urgency then we must. Its a shame that other countries got first and took action before the government did. People are literally desperate and we cant blame them if they die out of hunger just because the government has not done anything significant. Wake up. Its already DAY 14.
