I just read an article on the 10 things you should never do when you get old because they make you look older. The article was both offensive and hilarious to me. There has been something incredibly liberating about turning 70 that has surprised me. I feel no need to dress or look any particular way to please others. The article said these older women should never wear pants with an elastic waist, eyeglass ropes, animal prints, travel clothes or comfort shoes. Youve got to be kidding, right? You have some idiot blogger, probably barely out of her teens, telling me how I should dress? That is the most asinine, absurd, presumptuous nonsense. I will wear whatever the hell I want. Ill be as eccentric as I please and will leave the fashion policing to those who have not yet developed a mind of their own.
